Chairman of the Amhara wing of Ethiopia's ruling Prosperity Party has been assassinated. Girma Yeshitla was Abiy Ahmed's agent in the Ahmara province. He was also a member of the ruling party's executive committee which is the most powerful organ in Ethiopia.
